Hard Reset - Samsung B7330 mobile

The Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 contains several powerful messaging functions; is equipped with Windows Mobile 6.5, QWERTY keypad and GPS Navigation.

I purchased my Samsung mobile - Omnia Pro B7330 in May 2010. In early January 2011, I encountered the following problems: -
(a) No sound could be heard while friends and relatives were calling me.
(b) Windows Media Player could not be opened and hence could not play any sound.

PLEASE FIND BELOW THE STEPS TO RESTORE SOUND TO YOUR SAMSUNG B7330 MOBILE.

CAUTION: BE SURE TO BACKUP ALL YOUR CONTACTS, EMAILS AND SMS MESSAGES PRIOR TO PERFORM MASTER RESET AND MASTER CLEAR PROCEDURES.

I had to perform a hard reset (i.e. a Master Reset followed by a Master Clear) of the phone as follows: -
(a) Switch off the Samsung mobile phone B7330.
(b) Press and HOLD the 5(F) key + Press [OFF] button to switch the mobile phone ON.

A menu then appears on the Samsung mobile B7330 phone showing the menu items: -
(a) Master Clear: Key 1(E), then Y(es).

(b) Master Reset: Key 2(R), then Y(es).

STEP 1
Click Key 2(R) followed by Key Y. The Samsung phone B7330 will then reboot thereby doing the Master Reset.

STEP 2
Switch the Samsung mobile B7330 off and follow the procedure above to get the Menu. Then, click Key 1(E) followed by Key Y. The Samsung phone B7330 will then reboot thereby doing the Master Clear.

The Samsung mobile B7330 will then be able to play sound and audio files again. You may restore your saved contacts and messages after restoring sound on your Samsung Omnia Pro B7330 mobile.
=================================================================

I am now trying to investigate how this error could have occurred. May be, some audio files which were running were suddenly closed while the Samsung B7330 mobile was urgently switched off might have caused the error.
